I am looking for people who might have known my grandfather and his oldest brother. They were both on the Maryland at Pearl Harbor. My grandfather was the youngest of five brothers serving in the Navy in the second World War. Their mother was honored in christaning a ship for having 5 sons fighting in the war. My grandfather, Phillip H. North, was a boiler tech. He never really talked much about his experiences except to me. I have relayed all I know to my family. His brother, Joseph Harold North, was very proud of his association with the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. I never met the man, and only saw a picture of him after he died. I'm not sure what his rating was while he was in the Navy. If anyone has any information about these two brothers, please contact me, Doug North at Thank you for your time.
