Hi I caught your post on the Maryland website. I collect items on the Maryland andf also have a book on the Hoover cruise. The Navy yard in DC does have a copy of the Book however I have never heard of the Naval academy having one. I am collecting for an exhibit in Baltimore as a memorial to the Maryland and the crews who sailed her.

My husband's uncle and father both served on the USS Maryland at the early part of the 20th century. One item he has that might be of interest to someone is a book about the trip of president-elect Hoover on the USS Maryland. If anyone collects Maryland memorabilia and would like this, please contact me. Otherwise he will probably donate it to the Naval Academy. Contact me at .

I have an album of pictures and correspondance which probably belonged to SF2/C Floyd Pollock. This is from 1923 through V-J Day. It includes the 1925 Pacific tour. Lots of personal snaps of crew members on deck and off, as well as pictures of the ship itself. If there are any family members or close friends who would like to have this album, please let me know at
